UK Marine SACS Project
The vast coastline and seas of the United Kingdom have a remarkable marine natural heritage and provide rich resources for both work and play. These are treasures that need to be safeguarded and the UK Marine SACs Project will play a major role in achieving this. British Marine Life Study Society
The British Marine Life Study Society is responsible for producing the journal GLAUCUS, which is the first publication exploring the marine life of the seas surrounding the British Isles available to the general public. School of Ocean Sciences

Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom (MBA)
A professional body for marine biologists with some 1200 members world-wide. The current programme encourages fundamental research in marine biology by resident Fellows, interwoven with that of visiting scientists.
